Virtual Webinar
It is absolutely incredible how the whole communities skills (particularly us adults!) working with online tools have developed in such a short space of time. I can now actually have a knowledgeable conversation with my teenage son about Tik-Tok, Zoom, Canvas, Teams and Hangouts to name a few! 
This transformation has been most clearly shown to the outside world through our website, facebook page and most recently in our admissions processes, which have evolved during the curfew. 
This week, we hosted our first admissions webinar with over 30 families joining.  Despite my own nerves about relying on technology with such a big public audience, the event went incredibly well. 
The families were able to meet in 'virtual' person and see all the senior staff talking through our Open Day presentation face to face and then ask any questions that they had.  
One thing that I really missed was our year 6 students being there to take the families around the school and talk to them. The children are always our best ambassadors. 
As a Maths geek, I will be interested to see the feedback from our guests and whether they decide Britannica is for them.  Hopefully my lack of a decent haircut for 8 weeks did not put them off!
