Recent changes 
In Summer 2019, the game was updated to version 2.3.0. This update introduced all the main updates to the game.
Along with the summer update, the new features were added to the game.
Gold medals 
In 2014, Penguin Hockey launched a competition where the player can receive gold medals for the best games played in the season.
Players can compete for gold medals in the following categories:
 1st place: the most points (of the best game of the season),
 2nd place: the most goals scored (of the best game of the season),
 3rd place: the most points per game,
 4th place: the most games played (of the best game of the season),
 5th place: the most goals scored per game.
In the 2014-2015 season, a new category of medals was introduced: the "most goals scored per minute", which requires a set of goals to be scored in a certain amount of time.
In 2018, the most goals scored per minute was removed from the competition, since it was one of the most controversial aspects of the game, as players were able to play a game that finishes within few seconds, and the most goals scored per minute it was very easy to earn.
In the 2019-2020 season, a new category of medals was added: the "most assists", which requires a set of assists to be made in a certain amount of time.
In 2019-2020, there are two categories of medals for the 10 best players: the "Most points" and the "Most goals" categories.
