PADGenerator is a PHP script written in PHP 5.3.8 that can be used to generate PAD files based on a template file.
The problem of generating PAD files via the PHPGenerator is that the PAD file may be used again later, which means that the changes that have been made in the template file, may be kept.
The PAD file format was created by Tony Bartel, but is constantly being updated and improved.
PADGenerator generates PAD files with a similar layout to a shareware PAD file.
Note:
The layout of a shareware PAD file is specified by the PADGen-patman file.

How It Works:
1. Generate a list of files for the application (and comment them if they are to be included in the PAD file)
2. Download the
PADGen_SUPPORT
file and then the
PADGen_GUI
file.
3. Choose the template that you want to use to generate a new PAD file.
4. Create a blank PAD file
5. Load the files.
6. Generate a new PAD file from the template
7. Unload the PAD file

is configured in a very simple manner.
In addition to its other features, the script uses the following configuration options:
With the help of the config file, it is possible to set these parameters:
- Automatically generate PAD files from the list files.
- The name of the template file you want to use.
- The name of the PAD file you want to generate. (The name of the template file will be added to the end of the PAD file name. For example, the template file
PAD-Format_Routines
and the PAD file
PAD_Format_Routines
will be created
PAD_Format_Routines)
- The file name of the output directory.
- The application name.
The config file is stored in the
PAD-Generator
directory. If it can't be found there, it will be stored in the
PAD-Generator/User
directory.
