Sudha Murty (Bengali: সুদাহ মুর্তি) is an Indian author and literary critic based in Bangalore. She is the chairperson of the Infosys Foundation and former editor of the magazine Asal. She is one of the most respected figures in modern Bengali fiction, writing numerous novels, short story collections, and children's books. Sudha Murty and her husband, the literary critic K. Srujan Raju, have been awarded the Sahitya Akademi Award for her novel Mahashweta in 2002 and the Padma Shri in 2010. She lives in Bangalore, India.
