Auto Events is an add-in for Microsoft PowerPoint that allows you to add macro support to presentations you create in this program.
Once Microsoft Excel is open, click on the Add-Ins tab and select Auto Events. This will allow you to enable or disable macro support.
For example, you can exclude the "Play Slide Next" event so that it doesn't activate automatic slides in presentations.
You can also exclude the "File.Print" event, so that it doesn't automatically open a file in your printer.
You can also print copies of slides, or make any other changes to the slide, with minimal or no effort.
How to install Auto Events?
Auto Events can be installed by going to Add-ins tab, then selecting Auto Events.
The installation of this app will cause Excel to restart, for better compatibility with PowerPoint.
To uninstall this app, you just need to go to Add-ins tab, then select Auto Events, and then select Disable Auto Events.
If a presentation is currently opened, close it to ensure that any saved changes are saved before uninstalling this tool.

I downloaded this because I have a presentation that includes steps. To get the slides to play in the order of step to step the user must press the full screen button and then the next slide. This adds a lot of manual labor. I have tried several times with getting the slideshow to open and close and it has not worked.
The most frustrating thing about this is that, as a teacher, I encourage my students to at least try doing a slide show and then let me know if it worked.
This is not to say that I don't like Auto Events. I do. I'm just frustrated that I feel like I have to explain to people how to use it or I don't want to share my lesson plans.
There is not a single highlight of this in the description. And there is no a picture that shows how to use this. So I have to figure it out for myself. It is not meant for a novices.
The fact that you have managed to figure it out is very kind of you. I have no doubt others will stumble over this.
As I said, the description is too technical for non-tech users. I don't want to discourage people from trying my products but I think I need to update the description and maybe remove some of the features if I want to avoid this happening again.
