* sysicon.dat is stored in your program-folder (not system directory)
Usage instructions:
1) Install SysIcon (by doing a "manual" installation or use the "run" button).
2) Start it.
3) You can easily change the desktop icon, start menu icon and so on.
4) SysIcon will now create a icon file (icon.ico) in the icon/ directory of the program folder.
The original icon is always copied.
5) Move the newly created icon.ico to the desktop (use of a folder icon is not required).
6) Start SysIcon again.
7) The newly created icon is used as the desktop icon.
8) Press the "save icon settings" button to save the settings (see the settings).
This way you can set e.g. the official icons for the start menu, the start menu context menu, the desktop icon, the taskbar icon, the recycle bin icon, folders, recently used folders, control panel, restart icon, icon for windows shortcuts (e.g. my computer, documents, etc) and the icon of the icon for public-files.
The settings are stored in a text-file (sysicon.dat) in the program folder.
The icon settings can be permanently changed (e.g. via the settings) or temporarily.
