If you are a paid developer, you are welcome to write an extension for the IDE. In most cases this can be done, as Delphi is only a small part of the IDE. Please keep in mind that this work must be published on our site and is free of charge.
The extension needs to allow for the same options you would use for the IDE. Typical options include:
- Opening/Closing files and projects
- Compiling
- Running
- Writing code
- Activating/de-activating features
- Integration to DFM like in IDE Free
- Toolbox integration

- Add a copy-paste to the ide for the developer (e.g. pressing CTRL+V on a selection in the toolbox copy it and paste it somewhere else, or a CTRL+V+Menu for creating/copying/pasting)

- Add Save-files or Projects (CTRL+S)
- Document Actions (CTRL+A)
- Integration to the project explorer (CTRL+Alt+L)

In addition the extension should offer any kind of language support for Delphi, for example for Pascal, Delphi, ADA... In addition to the above features the extension may also offer any kind of DFM-support/wizard for the IDE.

Bi-directional streams must not represent backward flows in communications protocols, but should represent any other sort of flow such as regular streaming. In such cases the back-direction is meant for the back-going stream, not a flow in a different direction.
The syntax of the existing definitions of bi-directional streams is wrong, including suggestions for ones that would work properly. This language needs to be worked on.

The current bi-directional stream definition uses a single loop, and two indicators with which the result can be checked.
This is wrong. When a bi-directional stream is used to model a flow in a protocol, its output should be checked using a second indicator. The result of the first check is simply discarded.

This is a delphi XE5 & 2017 Project Explorer Add-in, it will add the project explorer icon to the system tray.
The project explorer shows a folder icon when the project is open in the editor. Just open the directory of your choice & the project explorer will show the folder icon on the system tray.
