Business opportunity leads are hot goods in the network marketing industry. Your business is none existent without any leads. 1. Just Curious & Not Serious
Many time the people that are on those business opportunity lists or filled out the form for your business opportunity are nothing more then tire kickers. They are more curious about what it is that you are "selling". These types of leads will never sign up for your opportunity no matter how much time you spend with them of the phone or follow up. Your opportunity may have the best products and compensation plan but these types of leads will never join you or any one else in any business opportunity. This is the type of person will never be open to any opportunity because they simply don't "believe" in them.
2. No Business To Be In Business
Business opportunity leads are often people who have no business to be in business. Many times these people might be financially destitute, desperate for money. This type of person could seem as the exactly the person who would benefit form your opportunity but you would be wrong. This is if you come form a place of "need" into a business venture you will not have the type of mindset needed to create success in a business.
If you sponsor these types of prospects to your opportunity they most likely won't have the marketing skills necessary to market the business and they will have to learn by taking marketing courses so that whatever marketing they use will be effective. Sponsoring people that don't have a strong desire to create success will make your organization weak because these members will not have the drive required to create a success and last through setbacks in network marketing.
3. Looking to "Get Rich Quick"
Business opportunity leads many times are people who think that you can "get rich quick" on the internet and are not really looking for a business opportunity but a lottery.. They are looking for cheep to free start up costs that will make them rich in less then a month. If you are reading this you probably realized a long time ago that creating a successful business on the internet takes time, effort and money.
Success is a result of continuous daily actions in marketing, prospecting and training. These are the types of people that if they join your opportunity will be gone within a month because they didn't get rich instantly like they thought they would.
What types of leads should you be looking for?
That's a tricky question, you shouldn't be looking for leads. Your goal is to attract quality leads to you. Absolutely the best leads are those who already know what it takes to be in this industry, other network marketers, but if you want these type of leads you have to have something they want or need. What you should do is start branding yourself, using blogs, videos, article and so forth. Give away valuable information concentrating on mindset, success creation, marketing, sponsoring and so on.
Struggling marketers will see you as someone who can help them with their business and will, in time become your leads so that they can have more contact with you, learn more about you and what you do.
