If enabled in the options dialog or "overlay mode", the application displays a mini-OSD in the bottom left corner of the playing video window, showing the current time in the video,
the current media speed in the video, and more.
You can also change the size and colour of the mini-OSD using the OSD scaling dialog.
Saver
The application can be set to execute in the background, where it keeps playing when the system goes to sleep or hibernates.
It can also be set to draw its window in the system tray, where it will draw a small icon in the system tray.
Current media files/time
Since MPlayerX 0.95, you can see what you are currently playing in the options dialog.
Using the current media file and time selection dropdowns in the options menu, you can play a different file or a different part of the same file.
Multi-Monitor use
In MPlayerX 0.95 or higher, you can switch to primary or secondary monitor from the options menu.
A secondary monitor can be selected from the output device list.
