If you’re looking to have a big event with lots of guests, then your best bet will be a large event space such as a hall. With ample room for all your guests and dancing, this is bound to be your safest bet to have a large wedding. Halls are also an excellent idea if you want to add a certain amount of extravagance such as putting up chandeliers and other decorations that would not normally fit in other types of spaces, like restaurants or conference rooms for example.
If you’re also planning on having a large wedding venue hire then you may also be leaning towards having a more formal event. This can mean a sit-down, three-course dinner around circular tables. Due to this, you will also need plenty of space for these large tables, the chairs and guests to go around them and walkways for staff to move around. Having extra space at your venue will mean that neither your guests or yourselves will ever feel overcrowded at any point.
Rustic outdoor barns
As mentioned before, if you’re looking for something a bit more intimate but still want a good amount of guests, then a venue such as this would be a perfect choice. Although it is still a large-sized venue, unlike a formal event hall, these feel far more intimate due to the rustic feel. You can hang fairy lights from the roof and have ambient lighting to make your wedding have a more homely feel.
Small private function room
You can find all sorts of function rooms suitable for weddings. From golf clubs to private dining rooms at a restaurant, there is a range of venues out there that you can decide upon depending upon the number of guests you have. Whilst some consider 50 guests as a small number, others may only want 10 or 20 people present.
Function rooms provide flexibility as different ones in different locations will be suited for a certain number of people. For example, a private dining room at one restaurant may be large enough to accommodate up to 50 people, whilst another at a different restaurant may only fit around 10. Unlike function halls which you will have to adapt to suit your amount of guests, you have to fit your guests into these venues. Whilst this may reduce the number of choices you have when you do find the ideal location, it will be just that - ideal!
