If nothing else, the pandemic has forced many of our public, private and voluntary organisations across all sectors, to innovate to survive and to deliver vital services. ‘Homeworking, Zoom, Pivot, Virtual Town Marketplace’ – the vocabulary of the new norm.
Radical incrementalism is opening minds, opportunities and global partnerships. But what of the bigger picture, the really bold steps required to address the scale of the recession and rising unemployment? The Scottish Government’s recent review looked at how Scotland’s technology sector can contribute to the country’s economic recovery after the COVID-19.
