DH_MIDIVelocityCtrl Registration Code Download [2022]
The entire DH_MIDIVelocityCtrl control block is valid MIDI CC 61 and is not "tied" to any particular patch so it may be used in any patch.
Note that if you want to set up the MIDI input for use with a custom patch, it may be handy to add all of the MIDI in and MIDI out channels to the Patch Editor palette.
There is a sample DH_MIDIVelocityCtrl patch available.

Below is the input and output set of node values for generating a tone with a linear frequency fout = 4000 and C3 = 128. The input range is from 0 to 127 and the output range is from 0 to 255.
Note that the controls for the velocity curve can be limited to a given range by changing the range of input and output. For example, the above control can be re-written to limit the range from 0 to 21.
The control below does that: it limits the range from 0 to 21.
Here is an example of a control with all of the input and output ranges of 0-127.
There is a sample control with a fixed range that also is in the SynthEdit environment.

The DH_MIDIVelocityCtrl control can operate independently of any existing control. When the DH_MIDIVelocityCtrl control is instantiated, the object is created as a private control. You cannot manipulate the control's properties. You can, however, modify the control's parameters directly by selecting the control in the SynthEditor Palette or by pressing the F5 key. The parameters are read-only. When the control is created, the parameter values are saved as Patch Editor options.
DH_MIDIVelocityCtrl is controlled using MIDI CC 61.

The DH_MIDIVelocityCtrl Activation Code module was developed to allow graphic input and manipulation of a custom velocity response curve.
Inputs:
MIDI In - MIDI input stream from MIDI keyboard
Bkgnd RGB, Text RGB, Line RGB - Background, text and line colors for the graphic window, as composite RGB integer values. The DH_TextToRGB and DH_ColorPicker modules in the DH_Sub-ControlPak are recommended as handy tools for setting these colors. The modules are free for unlimited use within the SynthEdit environment.
Outputs:
MIDI Out - MIDI input stream with Note On velocities scaled according to the user-defined velocity response graph.
Graphic Window:
This is a 128 x 128 grid. The horizontal axis represents the input velocity (0 - 127), and the vertical axis represents the output velocity (0 - 127). The window is resizable in both the structure and panel views.
The grid initially appears with a diagonal line that represents a linear response: the output velocity = the input velocity at all levels.
You adjust the response by adding nodes to the line. Add a node by double-clicking on any point. You can add as many nodes as you need to create the response curve you want.
Nodes can be dragged above the diagonal line to make the output velocity higher at a given horizontal input velocity, or below the diagonal line to make the output velocity less than the input velocity. The input and output values are shown in the upper left corner as you drag a node.
To delete a node, click on it while pressing the Ctrl key.
The drawn response curves can be saved as part of a patch.
The DH_MIDIVelocityCtrl module exports one function in the module's properties:
AddNode : String - The parameter can have one of these two possible values:
0 - Add a node to the farthest right part of the line.
1 - Add a node to the farthest left part of the line.
Visibility : Integer - The parameter can have one of these two possible values:
0 - The nodes are not visible.
1 - The nodes are visible.
The module also contains the function AddLineNodes() which adds all nodes to the line in either direction, as shown in the image above.
