There are a few things that I find irritating in the windows shell and many of them are solved with SecondShell.
This is a list of all the things that can be improved using SecondShell
1. Minimize Windows
Minimize windows is limited to one level only.
To minimize every window just click on the top left corner of the window.
2. Maximize All Windows
We are limited to having one window per workspace. In SecondShell to maximize all windows for a workspace just right click on the workspace.
3. Split Window
Split window can be achieved with the key combinations Ctrl+{ or Ctrl+Shift+{ on a window focused. This can be configured in the options.
4. Bring all the windows for one workspace to front
Just click on the Top Left of the window.
5. Close window
This is one of my favorites. To close windows use Ctrl+F4. It is also possible to use the little square button on the right side of the titlebar.
6. Resize window
You can resize windows by clicking and dragging the titlebar. You can also adjust the windows borders with the mouse wheel.
7. Drag and Drop
Drag and drop can be achieved by holding Shift and clicking on a window. You can also use Ctrl+Shift+Arrow to drag the window around.
8. Move window
You can move windows by clicking and dragging the titlebar.
9. Move window to another workspace
When using the move window feature you can choose the workspace to which you want to move the window.
The window just moves to that workspace, not the actual window manager. Thus if you have maximized all windows to the current workspace you can minimize them again with SecondShell.
10. Reopen a window
You can reopen a window just by clicking on the name of the window.
11. Search for a string in the window titles
You can search for a string in the title or tags of windows. You can also search for the exact word or you can search for a phrase.
Example: "Find the windows named 'Math'" to search for all windows named Math.
12. Find window by tag
Find window by tag is useful if you have to go from one window to another window often. You can just tag each window with tags and have a list of all windows with that tag.
13. Go to a group of windows
Group windows are different than workspaces. Workspaces limit you

For this to work perfectly, you have to use a keyboard and mouse with this guide. If you don't have a mouse or a physical keyboard, you can use the keyboard with the help of the following commands.
- ctrl + 1 = size the window to the left edge
- ctrl + 2 = size the window to the right edge
- ctrl + 9 = size the window to the top edge
- ctrl + 0 = size the window to the bottom edge
