According to the AP, the agency has already taken steps to clean its record. It issued a “fact sheet” on the report that “corrected” previous statements about the CIA’s “enhanced interrogation” procedures, mentioning waterboarding only once and referring to it only as a technique that was “not used.” So it was waterboarding without mentioning that the agency practiced it on Abu Zubaydah, the first person captured in the 9/11 attacks.
