A full week!
Well done to everyone for completing our first full week of normal schooling since March.  I hope that your children are starting to get used to the routines again and that they are enjoying their lessons. I know from talking to my staff that the students have welcomed being able to talk to their peers about their work and having their teachers close at hand to instruct, support and guide them. As I have come to expect from our wonderful children, they are adhering to the new rules with common sense and no fuss. 
Something to be conscious of at home, is that they are likely to be very tired in the first few weeks, as they adapt to the longer and more intense days. Our staff have discussed this during our training days and have been instructed to be 'gentle' with them over this period. 
Today's Ice Cream Reward event was certainly well deserved.  Obviously, we have had to do things slightly differently, using a delivery service to Primary classes and handing out individually to secondary as they leave the premises but nevertheless, we hope that they have all enjoyed it.
