Using Timer Remainder Pro, you can manage your daily tasks and setting them. Create or edit a task in just a few clicks and remove it right away. Program runs in any state, even if your computer is turned off.
Tasks are displayed in the program's list, or exported to text files. Tasks can be scheduled for later. All tasks can be enabled or disabled for automatic execution at system startup. Tasks can be exported to a text file that includes all current information such as the due date, time, name, description, summary, priority and status. You can also export a single task and import it again later.
This is a powerful program, which has only few usability issues. The program is easy to navigate and handle thanks to its user-friendly interface.
I think that this is an excellent app, as the author has spent a lot of time making it easy to use.
I don't like the way you create tasks, it's a bit clunky, I always end up with a lot of blank entries.
It would be much easier if they made the entries like org-mode makes them, so you can define the category, task name and description and then have a check box to check whether it's a recurring task.
Deleting tasks can be done automatically, but I find that you have to be very careful when deleting a recurring task; ie: deleting from the next 10 days and it changes to a recurring task, and then you can't delete it if you have a different amount of days in the future. I had a lot of trouble finding the right spot to actually delete a recurring task.
I think a settings menu would be helpful as well.
My first (and only) complaint is not that it doesn't do everything I want, but that it doesn't do something I've imagined.
If I choose to use a document, it gives me a.txt file of the title and description, but it doesn't give me the days or times or status, so I have to write them out manually.
Also, it gives you the choice of a daily task list or a weekly one, but there's no option to specify how many days you want it to run. It either runs on, what I'd consider, a daily/weekly rotation, or it runs on the most recent day/week.
It seems like there's room for improvement here.
