Welcome to the EIS Newsletter, Issue No. 29!

A lovely way to end what's been a long, but very successful half term. World Book Day at EIS has been a treat for all. Thank you very much to Ms. Martin and Mr. Anthony! Honestly speaking, the most costume participants I have seen, certainly for Secondary and also for the adults. The parade was a lot longer this morning and we had a pleasant door display tour as well, where the parents helped me judge.

The winners for the door competition for World Book Day, 2023/24:

Primary - Y2 (by one vote, just beating EYFS!) - congratulations Ms. Elena and Ms. Natalia.
Secondary - Y7 (again, a tight race, this time with Y8) - Congratulations, Mr. Anthony.

Mr. Marsh's Y6 WWII diorama and diary exhibition is one the best things I have seen at EIS. I, probably, do not need to say more. The closer I looked, the extra detail and nuance I noticed. They will keep pride of place in the school library for History Week upon our return as well. Well done all, and thank you!

A big congratulations to this week's Headteacher Award winners:

Minal Y3 & Haneen Y1 - the two sisters produced a fully working 'Wheel of Fortune' model.
Milon Y2 - for becoming a young, sensible gentleman and showing us all how he has grown in all areas.

This week I sat with the music teachers Oxana & Anna, plus Ms. Nura, to finalise our summer concert (which has now been rescheduled for 14-6-24). Amazing auditions have been taking place over the last month and now we have our final cast and have handed out scripts. Congratulations to all involved, I really look forward to this one. A special shout out to Saskia Y8 who has 88 lines to remember!
