Express Dial provides a Win32 Dialer for common applications such as telephone calling scripts, telephone answering systems, and voice dialers. It has several features which are unique to the Express Dial project.

Express Dial is designed for use with an external modem connected to your PC's serial port. One use is to set up an automatic phone dialer that will call a series of numbers in your address book.
The dialer will dial out at a regular interval until all numbers in the list have been called. You can start, stop and restart the dialing at any time. You can also define various options such as the number of rings before a call is answered, time out before the dialer stops calling and the number of times the dialer calls a number before it is disconnected. You can choose to have these options defined automatically or to enter them manually.
If you need to stop calling and have the dialer reconnect to the next number in the list you simply start the dialer from the command line. If you need to call a single number Express Dial has an interactive mode that allows you to do this from a command line.
When in interactive mode you can start, stop and restart the dialing from the command line. You can ask the system to call only those numbers with a specific prefix, or numbers whose date of birth is in the future.
Express Dial also has a mode that will simply dial out a single number without stopping at all.
