I know this post is really old and all, but I am a bit confused if I need to convert the images to PDF format on my computer with Mac OS X or if I can still do it in my printer. If I use the Canon Pixma iP5500 printer, am I still able to use the program? My concern is not about the inability to print multiple files, but if I have to use the Canon software or if I am able to use the Mac OS X software. I am not an expert, but I have converted plenty of files before.

Both Canon Pixma iP5500 and OSX Printing Software can print multiple images to one PDF file, even from PC. In your case, open your image directly in Printing Software and then print, after finishing printing, you will see "File Conversion Success" dialog. Click it, the file "for Printing" will be saved in the folder you specified in Printing Software.
