Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Who will I share my room with?
A. Your teachers will organise you all into rooms. They will usually try to make sure that you are with one or two of your friends.  
Q. What is the food like?
A. Have a look at our menu on this page to see an example of the food we serve. We encourage you to try new food but we won't let you go hungry!
Q. What do I need to pack? 
A. You can have a look at the kit list on this page to see what you will need to bring with you. Your teachers and parents should have a copy of the list too.
Q. What time will we need to wake up in the morning?
A. We serve breakfast at 8:30am so you'll need to be up and ready for the day in time to go down for your breakfast then.
Q. What time will we go to bed? 
A. Your teachers will decide your 'Lights Out!' time. You will be super busy on activities during the day so you'll need to make sure you get lots of sleep to have enough energy for the next day's activities.
Q. Will I be with my friends on the activities? 
A. For most of the activities you will be in a group of 8 of your classmates. Your teachers choose these groups but they usually try to make sure that everyone has at least one friend with them in their group. It's a great opportunity to get to  know some of your other classmates, too!
Q. Do I have to do all the activities?
A. We will encourage you to try everything and push yourself out of you comfort zone but we won't make you do anything you don't feel comfortable with. 
Q. Will there be other schools there? 
A. There may be other schools visiting the centre at the same time as you but you each have your own separate space at the centre to eat, sleep and play. 
Q. What can I do in my free time? 
A. We have lots of different things you can choose to do when you're not on activities! There are board games, table tennis tables, football pitches and more.
Q. Should I bring money?
A. Your teachers will decide whether you will be allowed to bring a small amount of money to use in our souvenir shop.
Q. Can I bring my phone? 
A. We strongly suggest that you leave your phone and other valuables at home. Our site is big and it can be easy to lose things (and you'll be so busy with activities and other things you won't have time to use it!) Teachers will have their phones with them if you need to be contacted while you're here.
