Parasite Eve is an 8-bit adventure game set in a surreal cyberpunk world.
You play as the young heroine Eve who needs your help to stop a giant cyborg from destroying an entire city. Along the way you’ll uncover a complex conspiracy and experience surprising twists in the plot.
Several game-play systems are at work at all times. You’ll have to mix luck, reflexes, and memory in order to avoid the myriad traps that are your way. Failure means death or at least a serious injury.
As you fight your way through the city you’ll have to learn new skills and make use of weapons, tactics and equipment.
The gameplay design is a hybrid between rogue-like gameplay and puzzle. You’ll have to learn the basic skills to get by and on the way, you’ll also gain points to spend on upgrades.

About the Author
Pascal Baudach was born in 1975 in France. At the age of fifteen he discovered the computer and started programming for PC. In 1995 he worked for five years as a programmer. Soon after he left his career and pursued his dream of becoming a game designer.
In 2000 he quit his job and took a long break from his studies to develop his first game, Flatland. The result was a success and in 2002 he released his second title, Parasite Eve. Several years of work followed, both with his own small team and with the help of external musicians, artists and programmers. In 2007, shortly after the release of the Nintendo DS game, Parasite Eve 2, he started working on the project GRAVITY, a faithful sequel to his previous game.
Finally in 2015, he finished the contract with PCAX and moved to Badland

Do you have what it takes to build an empire? The core goal of the game is to expand your territory as far as you can. The primary way you do this is by building cities for your citizens, and eventually making your way onto the Boardwalk, Wacker Drive and the lakefront. Each stage you go through makes the game easier, but also means that the current challenges will become increasingly difficult to overcome.
Cities require various things to work, such as roads and buildings. Many of these are built automatically during the game, but the game can also allow you to manually build roads and buildings, often at the beginning of a new city.
Along with the usual progression through the game, each city also allows you to upgrade the various buildings within it. Whether you want to produce more factories, or more quality wood, the combinations available are varied.
The game also introduces new citizens with different strengths and weaknesses, and whether or not you want to focus on one group of citizens or the other will depend on your playstyle and your personal preferences.
GAME FEATURES:
- Multiple Game Types: Explore and collect gems as you build a beautiful city in the "Gemcraft" game type or use quick tactical combat with your guards in the "Warring" game type.
- Playable Characters: Players can join in for one of six roles to customize their own experience. Players can also evolve custom characters in the multi-player games!
- Craftable Buildings: The game introduces new buildings that can be crafted from wood, bricks, gold and gems.
- Enchanting: Enemies have magical properties on the board that must be countered. Defensive and offensive enchantments are shown on the board.
- Game Design: The gameplay and design are focused on taking advantage of the game's mechanics and include many interesting strategies that will keep the game fresh and challenging.
- Multiplayer: The game allows two-player co-op and six-player competitive play against other players online.
- Leveling: Players can earn gems and gold as they play to unlock powerful and useful items for their characters. These will also be used to upgrade buildings as players improve.
