At the end of a very busy week, I would like to bring the following to your attention:

Virtual Council of International School’s Visit:

Thank you to all stake holders in the EIS community for the important role you played during the virtual 5-day visit, conducted by the Council of International Schools (CIS) evaluation team. In addition to observing lessons throughout the school, the CIS team successfully held virtual meetings with pupils, parent representatives, academic and administration staff, school leadership and the board. We are looking forward to receiving the CIS team’s report, which will be shared with the school community.

Afternoon Activity Clubs:

Now that the CIS visit is over, afternoon club activities will resume on Monday, 29th November.

Student Council Christmas Charity Appeal:

As you know, our school considers it very important to help other people less fortunate than ourselves, especially orphan children and children with disabilities. Today, you will receive a letter from our Student Council and Mr Paul, giving you details about the launch of a Christmas Charity Appeal. Kindly look out for the letter and give our Student Council the support they deserve.

Trans-Siberian Winter Express Concert:

Our school will be staging a virtual Winter Concert this year, called ‘The Trans-Siberian Winter Express’. The Winter Concert will feature Christmas and New Year celebrations held in countries across the world and traditional Christmas songs as well. Classes have chosen the following countries:

Nursery – South Africa
Reception – Wales
Year 1 – Russia
Year 2 – Italy
Year 3 – China
Year 4 – Korea
Year 5 – Sweden
Year 6 – France

A videographer will video the Winter Concert and copies will be sent to parents.

Winter Concert Video:

Ms Anna, our Music teacher, is organising for our Winter Concert a video recording of individual pupils singing "We wish you a Merry Christmas". Today, you will receive a letter explaining how you can assist your child/children to record them singing the song with a Christmas tree, garlands, lights, Santa's hat or anything else which you consider suitable. The best performers of the song will be combined into a single video by Ms Anna and sent to parents. Believe me, an amazing surprise is in store for you!

Year 6 Parents and Pupils Visit to EIS SW Secondary School:

A letter inviting EIS West Year 6 parents and pupils to an open evening of the Secondary School at EIS SW has been circulated. The South West campus is a hugely successful school, combining a warm and friendly family environment with outstanding academic achievement. It should be noted that the EIS Secondary School is oversubscribed in many year groups, so we invite you to visit us and reserve a place for your child for 2022/23.
