- The output netlist format is a wxLinesEdit control for each net name with 0 or more items of data in the form:
netname|data1,data2,...
- The net name is set to the "Name" attribute of a TinyCAD symbol, if it exists, otherwise it is assigned the net name generated by the net generation algorithm.
- The '&' symbol allows multiple items of data to be entered for a net using this notation.
- Any white space and comments are ignored when extracting the data.
- The data1, data2, etc. are separated by commas.
- The '&' symbol is only accepted in the first item of a set.
- When NetValue is ran on a file with no attributes it will display a list of all available attributes on the form.
- The "Data" attribute contains the data extracted from the original netlist with its format determined by the underlying TinyCAD symbol (and may be empty).
- The "Attribute" attribute is assigned to the TinyCAD symbol if it exists. This is only a simple assignment process as most symbol attributes do not have values, but the information is stored in the memory of NetValue for future reference.
- If a symbol has the $ symbol embedded in its name then the symbol is internal. In this case, the $ symbol is translated to a comment with the same effect.
- Data associated with the package can be the name, an IP, or any other importable information from a TCA file.
RUNTIME:
- The netlist data is drawn by a first-pass when the netlist is opened. It is refreshed whenever necessary to keep the data.
- The data for internal symbols has been cached. (The data for external symbols is not cached since it is retrieved later.)
- The caching technique is based on filename extension. A symbol with a.tca file as extension will be cached in the program.
Known Issues:
- The data for external symbols is read from the TCA file after the netlist has been initialised. Therefore, the internal and external symbol should be loaded and processed by NetValue prior to processing any external symbols. (For example, only after processing a package the internal symbols need to be read from a TCA file.)
Bugs:
- The Windows file system service is not integrated into NetValue's design and so file access from the Windows file system cannot be read by
NetValue  With Key Download [32|64bit]
Data types used:
- String, Decimal, Binary, Integer - All characters can be used except one.   They can also be printed out when using the 'File / Print' menu item.
- Boolean - The only character that can be used is 'True' or 'False'.
- Select - A select box allows the user to select one or more items. It can also be printed out when using the 'File / Print' menu item.
-  Or Date - The default behaviour is to convert the item into a date, which can be formatted using a date picker.
