TGetSystemType is written in Delphi 4 and it is a simple code that gets system type such as windows, linux or cygwin. The basic use of the system type is that we can know which system we are currently on, this could be used for auto detecting the system.

Set Up:
· Compiler : Delphi V5
· Copy the binary and data files into any unzipping software and extract them
· Unzip into the same folder where the delphi executable is located
· Find the delphi executable file and copy it to the same folder.
NOTE: Since we are using a test program, which was initially made as a Delphi Form and which contains not so many pages, it doesn't take very long to unzip it and extract it (about 30 seconds).
Note that this project is not fully ready to be used as an installer, so, if you try to compile and execute the program, it will hang because the compiler itself is not fully ready to run.

Just copy the delphi binary and data files to the same folder and then run it. It will detect the platform you are running on and display the right result.
The code:
A Delphi Character and string list checker. It checks if the first character of a string is one of the characters in the list, which are defined in the source code, by setting the List variable. If the first character of the string is among the defined characters, the function returns True; otherwise, returns False.
