3.3. Real DJ {#sec2-5}

This software is currently the most popular application. It is published by Real Records in California and was the first program in which users can download DJ mixes. Despite being one of the most popular products, some users have complained that it is not an efficient DJ program. An online review with 10 users (to August 2011) reported that the average user needed 3-5 attempts to get used to its interface. It was also observed that the players had trouble switching between songs and the time stamp was not accurate ([@ref15]).
3.4. DJ Max Plus {#sec2-6}

This software was released in 1994 and is considered as one of the most used online tools by DJs for remixing. It is published by Five Towns Software. It is a totally online DJ program. It provides advanced features such as beat matching, looping, track placement, time scaling, and volume control. There are also various DJ tools such as transition effects, beat-matching, drag-and-drop, multi-song playback, drop-out-and-insert feature, countdown, drag-and-drop remix-reordering, multi-track-fade and more. It is a great software for beginners to learn how to remix using loops, transitions, fades, and effects. One of the drawbacks of this program is that it is not available for users that are using OS Windows other than XP.
