Creating the icons
If you intend to make the icons look exactly as they do in the preview, create another Photoshop document. Lay the image on top of the icon (align it properly) and move the image up and down until you’re satisfied with the icon’s location. To create the shadow, create a solid white rectangle with the bottom one of the columns used to place the icon perfectly aligned.
Copy the button (with the shadow) and use the Pen tool to create a black rectangle around it. The effect should look like that shown below. Finally, fill this rectangle with black and merge it.
To use this shadow on the background, copy the icon (or layer) and move it up.
If the rounded corners are not smooth, then select the Path Selection tool and make a marquee around the rounded corners. Fill this selection with black. Merge it.

This is a fantastic set of icons that I use on a day to day basis for client work and personal projects alike! The file sizes of these icons are much more manageable than the other sets I have previously used.

I’m not sure if it’s my retina display or the icons, but I’m in love with them! I’ve used them on both desktop and mobile devices. They’re smaller than I thought they’d be and make a huge difference on an iphone. I’d say you can get about 75% of the way to an iphone 6 on the small version.
