Communication
Since March, the majority of our communication with parents has naturally been through digital channels. 
The feedback we have received through the Orbital parent survey and the CIS parent survey is that the majority of parents think we communicate things well and that this is a strength of the school. 
One area we have constantly reviewed this year is with regards to our regular COVID communications. There are different views about what should and should not be communicated and also restrictions, due to GDPR regulations, about what we can communicate. We, obviously, take these into account when sending out messages to parents. This means we do not communicate the names and details of people who test positive to the whole community.
What we try to do is make sure that you are informed about matters that impact on your child, for example, that there has been an identified COVID case in your child's year group and they will be working remotely next week. We would not want to fill up inboxes by sending out every communication to all parents. For example, a Year 7 parent would not receive a communication relating to Year 1.  I hope this makes sense? This is then followed by the Newsletter updates each week relating to the whole community.
