YEAR 1
In Mathematics this week, Year 1 have been looking at 2D shapes and their properties, as well as examining the differences between symmetry and asymmetry. In English, Year 1 examined text containing the "Sh" sound that they have been learning about in phonics. In science, Year 1 have been learning about why insects are attracted to some deadly plants such as the Venus Fly Trap, and dissected a flower, namely a Sunflower which they then investigated with the help of a magnifying glass (see the picture). And In Topics, Year 1 are learning all about Russia, especially Moscow. In ICT, Year 1 have begun creating pictures in 'Paint", while in PSHE, Year 1 are continuing the work they started about friendship.

RUSSIAN (Native). Children from year 1 continued to talk about seasons, to fill autumn calendar and stated to learn tree species and recognize its parts. Also we analyzed place the sound O in the word. By Ms Marianna
