Dear Parents,
Thankfully, despite a few coronavirus cases within our community, the school programme has continued without interruption. These challenging and unpredictable times demand fortitude and resourcefulness from teachers, ongoing support from parents, and a determination to succeed from pupils. Sincere thanks to all for your collective effort to beat this pandemic! Please take note of the following announcements:

Infection Prevention Measures:

I want to reiterate that the staff and I, supported by Nurse Irina, are monitoring the situation at school very carefully. We are compelled to implement infection prevention measures very strictly, in accordance with local health regulations.
I urge you, as parents, to monitor your child/children with the utmost care! Please consult your medical practitioner should you have any health concerns.
Please be reminded that a child who has tested positive for Covid may not return to school until you are able to produce a negative PCR test result. In certain circumstances, an entire class might have to be quarantined, as was the case this week

School Uniform:

Our Student Council recently encouraged children to come dressed to school in the appropriate school uniform. They reminded children that there are many advantages to this, one of which is that, although children at our school come from different backgrounds, a school uniform gives everyone a sense of cohesion and togetherness. A school uniform instils a sense of pride! It also reduces the potential for children to tease and make fun of one another. Peer pressure is eliminated because everyone is dressed in the same uniform. Parents are respectfully reminded to ensure that your child complies with our school rules.

Skiing Afternoon/Lunchtime Club Activities:

Mr Oleg, our Physical Education teacher, has postponed by one week skiing and snowboarding lessons for pupils from Year 2 to 6. Lessons will commence next week. Please be reminded that trainers at the Ski School provide training, depending on each pupil’s ability level: beginner, intermediate or advanced. Should you want your child to participate, kindly complete the form and sent it, together with payment, to school.

Parent Survey:

Thank you to parents who responded to our appeal to complete the online parent survey. The school depends on your feedback in order to take corrective action. By now, you should have received an email, reminding you to complete the survey, which will close on Monday, 7th February.
