Math - Module 5: Adding and Subtracting Fractions with Like Denominators, Comparing Fractions, Finding Equivalent Fractions, and Multiplying Fractions by a Whole Number.
Module 6: Fraction/Decimal equivalence and addition with tenths and hundredths; Rewrite, describe, and locate decimals on a number line; compare decimals to hundredths.

Reading- Unit 7: Moving Through Space -In this science themed unit students will focus on learning about exploring space, forces and motion, and specifically the moon and stars. Throughout this unit students will read informational text as they explain events, procedures, and ideas/concepts. Students will also describe the overall structure of a text and integrate information from two texts on the same topic. When reading literary text students will describe character, setting and/or events in a story and compare and contrast similar themes and topics in the text.

Lectura -Unidad 7 Moverse por el espacio: En esta unidad temática de ciencia, los estudiantes se enfocarán en aprender sobre la exploración del espacio, las fuerzas y el movimiento, y específicamente la luna y las estrellas. A lo largo de esta unidad, los estudiantes leerán textos informativos mientras explican eventos, procedimientos e ideas/conceptos. Los estudiantes también describirán la estructura general de un texto e integrarán información de dos textos sobre el mismo tema. Al leer un texto literario, los estudiantes describirán el personaje, el escenario y/o los eventos en una historia y compararán y contrastarán temas y temas similares en el texto.

Writing- Opinion Writing: Are Zoos Good News? Students will be doing research on the pros and cons of keeping animals in zoos, and then will be writing an opinion paper taking a stance on zoos.

Escritura de opinión: ¿son los zoológicos buenas noticias? Los estudiantes investigarán los pros y los contras de tener animales en los zoológicos y luego escribirán un artículo de opinión tomando una postura sobre los zoológicos.
