Background
Utilities like Onenote or Evernote are great when it comes to organizing your daily tasks, tasks and projects. (Yet those two go one step further, and also allow you to record your clients and appointments).
But as far as developing these tasks, deadlines and events, they lack that little extra bit of detail.
At times, they lack the real time you need for planning your steps.
Sometimes you need to be notified that a particular appointment is coming and that you need to book your travel plans accordingly.
So today, we are going to build a little portable application that will allow us to manage both our time and appointments.
We will focus on appointment reminders. You will see that we have a nice feature when you add an appointment, as we automatically ask you for the time you need to be present, along with an estimate of your travel time.
(It might be very handy, and a bonus feature, when you are traveling to an area where you have never been before)
When the meeting is over, we will have all the data and information stored in the database.
We will use it to display your recent calls, meetings, lunches and every time you went to the doctor.
How?
First things first. We need to define the objects that will represent our databases, tasks, times, appointments and so forth.
Classes
Here is a quick overview of our classes :
Conversation
Conversation is our core object.
As far as it is concerned, it will store an id, an appointmentDate, appointmentHour, appointmentDuration, and appointmentDetails.
ConversationList
ConversationList will store a collection of conversations.
It will have an id, and a name that will be displayed to the user in the dialog.
ConversationData
ConversationData is a custom object that will store all the data for one conversation.
It will have a id, a conversationId, an appointmentDate, an appointmentHour, an appointmentDuration, and an appointmentDetails.
Task
If you look at the data model, you can see that Tasks are closely linked to Conversations.
We will use it to store the id of a conversation in it.
