Beep.Exe uses the built-in speaker to make a notification sound. Beep.Exe is a single, stand-alone program. It does not require any other programs or driver files.
This program's user interface is very simple. It is basically a single window with a text entry field and a button. The window is titled "Beep" and has a menu bar at the top of the window with the following menus:

2. Go to File
3. Go to Window
The File menu allows you to play a notification sound, save the current notification sound to disk and clear the notification sound log. The Window menu allows you to select a notification sound and make a second one.

Play mode allows you to play any notification sounds you like. You can save a notification sound that you want to play for later by selecting the "File" menu and selecting "Save".
Record mode allows you to record your own notification sounds. You can save to a sound file on disk by selecting the "File" menu and selecting "Record". You can later play this sound by selecting "File" and selecting "Go to File". There is a delay of a few seconds between the program recording the sound and the time when you can listen to it as playback. This is due to a number of factors and the nature of the sound card.
