The Weather is a Vista gadget that displays the current weather conditions in an easy and simple manner.
It displays the main weather parameters on the desktop, as well as a map with the current weather conditions.
The gadget should be placed on the taskbar or the desktop and should remain on top of all other desktop objects.
The tool allows you to view the weather for the current location or enter the ZIP code, and displays the temperature, the wind, the cloud cover and the visibility for the next two days on a map.
The gadget also provides the option to download weather maps, view a list of your friends, share the weather on different social networks, and to opt for a small or large icon for the gadget.
Furthermore, you can view the forecast for the next ten days on weather.com, as well as rate or send emails to your friends with a link where you can download The Weather.
The Weather doesn’t come packed with any configuration settings or options, but there are many accessible in the cloud.
The Weather History:
The Gadget comes with a history feature that shows the previous weather conditions for the current day and the next two days.
To activate the feature, click on the gadget’s bottom toolbar and click on the History button.
The tool displays the list of the past days, along with the current temperature and the wind speed.
The tool will not display weather from the same location on the same day though.
This is why, if you want to see the past weather conditions for the same location, you will have to open The Weather a second time or click on the History option on the first run.

The Weather also includes a feature called “Rater”.

The Weather allows you to rate the utility with a star.
The gadget displays the rating icons on its bottom toolbar.
After clicking on the buttons, the tool sends the rating to other social networking services, allows the user to post their rating on their profile, or email the rating to a friend.
