“While AutoCAD won the most popular choice award, the fact that it lost the overall category in a wide margin indicates that other software applications are increasingly popular in the construction and architecture professions,” said Jeanne Joy, CMP, of Computerworld – US.
Even though it is not a surprise that AutoCAD won the title of most popular CAD package, the number of competing products and the fact that other suppliers were involved in this contest do make this result noteworthy.
