20 Black History Month Resources for Teachers and Learners

"We are not makers of history. We are made by history." — Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. February is Black History Month in the United States and Canada. (Fun Fact, October is Black History Month in the UK!) This year, we have curated a list of 20 resources to help teachers and learners acknowledge the history of Black people in the North American continent, value the amazing contributions by Black leaders in society, and celebrate the Black culture and Black lives. Additionally, these resources have been specifically curated to include often overlooked historically significant events and actors in Black history. This list includes lesson plans, interactive resources, and informative videos about Black history and Black History Month. Everyone is sure to learn something new this month with our resources.
