Creating a Lifetime Career ePortfolio

The goal of this personal development project is to help Access learners understand the purpose of an online career portfolio and the process of creating one. The project is about constructing a career guidance to improve student engamement in pursuing lifelong learning, development and achievement, and help them discover and accomplish what they want to be. It will also provide high school learners with career planner skills and strategies for all life stages as they navigate their education, workplace and community journeys. The ePortfolio will be the main learning outcome supported by all the learning goals and therefore become learner's career hub to help them start finding their professional path with confidence, reflecting and storing multiple types of files, videos, links, in relation to their personalities, likes, community needs, and also being coached by the Access staff and experts to choose amongst the university degree options at the University of Guadalajara and US scholarships via RELO Mexico and EducationUSA. The expected outcome is to encourage students’ to further their post-high school studies by guiding them to create a suitable e-portfolio profile and thus compete for scholarships at various levels as well as to master the learning skills, self-management skills, and soft skills to succeed in academic and professional settings.
