Dear Parents,
Yet another busy week has passed. Please take note of the following announcements:

1. Field Trip:

Year 1, 2 and 3 pupils thoroughly enjoyed their visit to the Moskvarium, on the grounds of the All-Russia Exhibition of Economic Achievements, and one of the biggest indoor aquaria in Europe. They were especially pleased to have an excellent tour guide who spoke English. Each pupil was given an audio-pack and earphones to enable everyone to hear the tour guide clearly. At today’s assembly, Year 1 pupils, supported by Ms Jeanelle, proudly shared with the school their PowerPoint presentation to show what they saw and learnt about during the visit.

2. International Day:

Classes are enthusiastically preparing their exhibits and presentations for next week’s International Day, scheduled for Friday, 27th May. This event promises to be colourful, entertaining and, above all, very informative. Parents will receive an invitation early next week, giving details of the programme, which will include traditional foods, dancing, interesting facts about each country, and how people in each country greet each other.

Early Years – Japan; Year 1 – Hawaii; Year 2 – Korea;
Year 3 – Italy; Year 4 – Mexico; Year 5 – India; Year 6 – Israel

3. Parent-Teacher Conferences:

Thank you to all parents who have accepted our invitation to meet with your child’s teacher. As I have already pointed out, these conferences give teachers the opportunity to give you feedback on your child’s progress and to discuss goal-setting to facilitate ongoing improvement. If you haven’t already made an appointment, please contact your child’s teacher.
As indicated previously, teachers will be flexible, when scheduling conferences, in order to accommodate families currently living abroad.

4. Extended Days:

Thank you, too, for your support and cooperation regarding our extended school days. Please be reminded that school will continue until 4 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays over the next five weeks.
