I’ve written before (IKIGAI + The Difficulty with Following My Own Advice) about how integral I felt when teachers were working through the crisis of 2020 (and beyond) by supporting them to develop their own digital competencies, confidences and navigation of digital pedagogies. As part of my ATS PDP (Professional Development Plan) I wanted to develop my own considerations of (specifically digital) accessibility in order to ensure that not only am I being inclusive in my own teaching and learning spaces, but that I am also modelling inclusive practices to my peers. 
I completed the Enhance DTP (Digital Teacher Platform) accessibility modules and began the process of completing the independent further learning offered via the five preceding badges (exploring **, adopting **, adopting ***, leading ** and leading ***). I began by researching the recent public body accessibility regulations for websites/apps as I thought it would be useful for me to get to grips with the finer details of accessibility to work on an accessibility statement for the PDN website. 
I read advice on the Government website, related articles, examples from FE organisations (I fully recommend checking out the Enhance DTP accessibility statement which is really thorough yet easy to read), effective practice, best practice, good practice…
