Home Again, Home Again
My husband and I returned from our final vacation of the year to a house that is up and running again. For some reason I can't remember, I bought a small tree that I plan to keep this year. It has a few buds already.
I had to have something to do while I waited for the electrician to come back and start hooking things up. I finished some soap and gave it a try. A long soak in hot water seemed to bring out some of the color in it. I wrapped it up in some napkins for some final finishing touches.
I had a couple things to do for the house while we were gone. One is to re-sink the washer and dryer because the girls did a number on them.
Here they are from the dryer before I got around to washing them.
The small one had an awful tear in it. The old one was worn and no longer worked, so it just sat there in the closet until I found it.
I took off the damaged panel, removed the broken spring, cleaned everything and installed a new one.
The washer has the same type of old spring, but it was a little worse for wear. I cleaned it too and installed a new one.
When we returned, the girls were very disappointed. While I wanted to laugh,
