Pink Ninja is an audio slicer with an interface in the form of a ninja, it slices audio and saves the result as one wav file.
The time taken for a slice depends on:
- input file format
- the number of slices of your wav file
- the base name if not empty
- the order mode (random / continuous)
If the input is a.wav file in 16bit/44.1khz 16bits per sample, it takes a slice on average 10 seconds for a wav file with 1 slice and 15 seconds for a wav file with 15 slices.
A random slice can be saved as a.wav file with the base name as specified (without extension) or as one wav file with the same base name and the song name as specified.
With continuous you specify how many slices to save at once.
When saving as song, slices with 0,5 seconds or more duration are considered as a slice and sliced as one.
This behavious can be disabled by setting sliceMinimumTime to 0.

Sometimes we need some sound to play while we write some code. We don't want to mess with VST's or analyze waveforms. That's just not fun.
This project can be used to generate a wav file with PCM data in it. You write your code then press a button to trigger it.
As you can see from my example, having samples of equal length makes for very boring sound. Equal length samples are good if you want to generate music from your samples like what rokq is trying to do. More detail about different ways to make music with wav files is in this post.
How To Make This
I use this code to generate a file from scratch using time intervals. I make small changes to it if you want to trigger it based on mouse clicks, button clicks, etc.

Cracked Pink Ninja With Keygen is a free, open source application. It is very slow (even with all cores maxed out). So I provide a wav-file containing a.wav song (and lots of slices to choose from). You have to follow certain rules to make this wav file work:
- The wav file must be created with a.wav file extension
- The wav file must be unencoded.
- The wav file must be 16 bit and mono.
There are still some bugs to be found. That's why I made it an experiment, to get you started on your projects. This app is not fit for a commercial production. I spent much more time on this then I normally do, so you should expect this app to be a bit rough around the edges.
How I use this app:
Its fun to use! But also very slow and inefficient. I use this app in a science experiment I did for my Bachelor's program. I assign each of the humans (after getting their ID-cards) one piece of input that I record, then they are to slice this piece of input into a random arrangement (choose slices from the random piece of input that they will use) and then use their chosen random slices to create a song (glue these slices together). The humans have all been told (before the experiment) how the input is created, so they know what they're gonna do. They can adjust the speed if they want. I tell them how much time they have and how many slices / song length they should create. After a certain time (I set it to 5 minutes) they have to stop slicing and to stop the music. Then I show them the result. They see the slices that they have created and how they were chosen, and they can see in which parts of their input they have made noise. They have to judge their performance. Based on their performance the others in the group can get points. I calculate the points for the total success of the group (everyone gets the points they achieve during the experiment) and end up with a ranking.
The experiment I did at my Bachelor's was based on the authors of this blog ( They also use this to make music, they also have a group on the University.
