- Don't make the function parameters a minimum 1 (and> 1, as the compiler does) but a minimum 2 (and 1, for arrays).
- Don't use ': TStringlist or TString' inside a function, that returns a value.
- Don't use either String or StringList-type variable types inside a function.
- Don't use Array's.
- Just translate macros, not the whole code.
- Use FNames. -Don't put '%' in the local variable name, only use numbers.
- FNames has to look like this:
function %name% : %return_type%;
begin
// code here
end;
- FNames can't be included with {$Names} in the Form.
- FNames have to be accessed like a property, like below:
function %name% : String;
begin
// code here
end;
- That's right, FNames are simply properties. They have to be accessed like
this
Get(x) := %name%
Set(x, y) := %name% := y;
- You can't use a variable inside the ';'...
- The compiler will mark this as error.
- What you have to use, is a'as you do with a string:
function %name% : String;
begin
// code here
end;
