It works well in a console, but it throws exceptions when the code runs in the production. I get the below error when I run the rake assets:precompile task (i.e., in a production.log):

The problem is that the string of the host is fixed in config/environments/development.rb (or production.rb).
I changed the config string in config/environments/production.rb instead of the development.rb file. This worked, and it seems like that the new string should be picked up by Rails automatically.
