ADOM verifies your credentials at login to ensure the correct credentials are being passed to change password.
ADOM detects Group Policy changes and notifies the user (if prompted) and automatically enables the change password prompt.
ADOM will display to the user the default actions for their security logon if the user has not set these. The user can choose the default action to perform.
The “Manage Your Directory” and “Manage Password” options are the same as normal for that version of the ADOM program. The System Manager and Group Policy (GPO) options can be used by the user to manage their AD, ADOM and ADOM installation will display these options by default.
The System Manager option provides a view of the computers properties for the computers that are ADOM installed on and allows the user to view the details for each computer, this is also the only way to view the password and password expiration details for each user.
The “Manage Password” option allows the user to manage each computer password and the users password.
ADOM will use the same method of password policies for Group Policy and also allows the user to set the password policy under the “Manage Password” option.
The Group Policy option allows the user to control the password policy, in addition to it being used to manage the password for all computers on the network.
The “Enable Password Expiry” option allows the user to enable or disable the password expiry feature, along with the password expiry days and days remaining.
ADOM supports the ability to delete, move or add Group Policy and user accounts.
The “Add/Delete Groups” option will add or remove user groups if they exist on the users computer.
The “Add/Delete Users” option will add or remove user accounts if they exist on the computers.
The “Delete Groups” option will delete user groups if they exist on the computers.
The “Delete Users” option will delete user accounts if they exist on the computers.
The “Enable Password Expiry” option will enable the password expiry feature.
ADOM stores passwords, stores them in an encrypted format, it will decrypt them when the program is executed. ADOM will display the number of days left in the password after being set.
