Create multiple layouts per each key on your keyboard and assign them to just one key, giving you a huge flexibility for different tasks.
As an example, let's say that you have a task that requires you to type special characters but you can't always see one in the list on your keyboard. One possible solution is to assign these characters to a special key and create a layout that will be activated through the keyboard.
In our example, we will use the alternate layout for Windows keyboard keys Ctrl, Alt, Win and Alt Gr to change them in order to control the Enter key for a customized shortcut. It is as simple as creating two layouts and selecting one for each key:
As you can see here, in the first picture the usual layout is being used, but in the second one the Alt Gr key is used to activate the Enter shortcut, while the Alt key serves to activate the Ctrl and Win keys of your operating system's layout.
For just one key you can assign up to 6 different characters to it. If you need to switch between them, just click on the double-arrow on the bottom left side of the settings box. Here is the list of characters assigned to
