YEAR 1
It's Assessment week! Year 1 had lots of questions to answer in Mathematics. Everyone tried their best which is all Miss Martin can ask for 😊 We also revised our knowledge of more and less. In English we had a comprehension, phonics and a tricky word assessment. It wasn’t as tricky as we thought! Year 1 also recited some new Traditional rhymes. We learnt ‘Sing a song of Sixpence’ and ‘Here we go round the Mulberry bush’. 
In Topic we learnt all about Queen Victoria, her husband Prince Albert and their 9 children. She was a wonderful Queen but we thought she looked very cross in her portrait!
In Science Year 1 found and tested ‘bendy’ and ‘stiff’ materials in the classroom. 
In ICT we are logging in and typing the password to open our programmes. All Year 1 can do this now 👌 and play games on Mathsframe. We use addition and subtraction facts to play the games. 
Anna celebrated her 6th birthday on Tuesday and we all thoroughly enjoyed the cake pops, thank you Anna 🧁
