This thread started out looking like a place for us to share our experience with DICOM. Until the nice people in charge of this website decided to turn us into a "Community Forum".
I've already accepted that I'm a jerk, but I just can't let this go without commenting that I actually *wanted* to be a useful part of this community, and that I tried to do that in the early days, but it's just not the way I want to spend my time. I don't want to beg for pity or special treatment because I did something silly, something I would never even think of doing myself...
I just feel like I'd rather not be here anymore. I didn't suddenly decide to become a jerk - I'm trying to avoid someone "bad, mean, and rude" right now, so I will probably never get along with a lot of people on this website, and I won't waste the time of the people who are nice enough to try to be civil with me.
Can we ignore what I wrote above?

The Charrua DICOM Toolkit is intended for any developer who wants to incorporate Medical Image (DICOM) data into their own software package without the necessity of using expensive third party software.
Open Source:
Our purpose with this product is to release the DICOM Toolkit as an Open Source product. This means that if you wish to write your own application, you have complete freedom to do so.
The Charrua DICOM Toolkit is distributed under the GNU LGPL. This means you can use the Toolkit without restriction and you can freely redistribute the DICOM Toolkit source.
In other words, you're free to rip the DICOM Toolkit and change it to suit your needs. You're free to further distribute the DICOM Toolkit to a third party without restriction. You're free to charge money for the DICOM Toolkit, and even make a profit in the process.
Currently we have no plans to run a closed source version of the Toolkit, but if you have any ideas of a use for the Toolkit that would benefit users, I would be more than happy to consider such a request.

Included DICOM Parser and Writer
This interface was developed with the Primus Parser/Writer in mind. An included writer is provided so you can write out your own DICOM data in a format that you're happy with, while a Parser is provided to allow you to input your DICOM data into the Toolkit.
Borland Dbase API Reference
The Borland Dbase API Reference is used as the central manager for all other interfaces. It contains a reference to the TImage class that is used for reading and writing your image data. The Dbase API Reference provides access to standard routines such as loading images, to more DICOM specific routines such as creating and using DR, SS, GT, etc.
