The last 2 weeks has seen my computer crash twice. The 1st time was while trying to finalize a disc from a recent photoshoot I did. I was so close to finishing and then my computer crashed. Today I had issues again and the rear hard drive broke. In either case, I managed to find someone who fixed it and then showed me where to go to find a replacement.
The 3rd HDD was on the last drive of the same controller and the 2nd one is just an inch away from it. The cables the drives pull from the controller are just long enough to split into two pieces without breaking. I had a hard time locating a specific replacement, but after talking with some friends and a few others I got a no name 1.5 TB SATA 6.0 MB/s drive.
If anyone is looking for a compact drive, I would advise this one.
The WD 3TB Black hard drive (now 2TB)
Now that there is a home for most of the DVDs I usually shoot, I have to rethink the way I store them.
It's possible that I should reformat and set up a whole new hard drive, but what are the options?
