The film stars Saif Ali Khan, Alia Bhatt, and Sonakshi Sinha, with Anushka Sharma in a special appearance. The film released on 29 May 2017.
The film is an action entertainer, set during the Shivaji's era, where we see he fights against the British on the battlefield and subsequently starts to climb the ranks of the war. Baadshaho follows a track different from the earlier work of the director Milan Luthria. Saif Ali Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Alia Bhatt and Om Puri are seen in the lead roles of the film.
The first look of Baadshaho was revealed in January 2017, and it was widely criticised for the lack of a solid plot. The film opened to mixed response from critics and audience.

Plot
Raj Saab, a retired Indian army general, is sent to a remote village, where he happens to meet an old local chieftain. They both have a brief chat, and immediately the old man asks Raj Saab to hunt down the British armies that are besieging the village. Raj Saab reluctantly agrees. At this point, the chieftain reveals to him that he is actually his maternal uncle, and that he is the one who did his mother in. It was a planned murder, which was meant to help Raj Saab gain the position of Maharaja, and thus rise to the status of the Chief of the village. He says that he and his group killed everyone in the village, but it was not enough and the British have to retaliate. He tells Raj Saab that it would be easier to fight them as they are a crowd, but Raj Saab is unwilling to fight in this manner. He tells him that he must first figure out who the killer is.
At that point, Raj Saab is caught by the British officers, and he is tortured into revealing where he is hiding. He tells them that he will give them information of their troops and their whereabouts, but he does not want to be interrogated further, and asks to be released.
Raj Saab reaches a village named Behta and receives his orders from the local chieftain to hunt down the British and get the location of their headquarters. He finds out that the British army is at a village near here, and the chieftain asks Raj Saab to capture the British general, who is their Rajput ally. Raj Saab agrees, and 3125841983
