UnDupe is a pretty nice application and I think it has the potential to be a great app in future. I would say it's less than perfect in the current release, though.
I'm not sure if it's possible to "delete" the duplicate files listed by UNDUPE. I found that out the hard way. It is easy to run it (as a background process) and have it pop up a window notifying you of the files it is going to "delete" but once it has, it doesn't seem to offer a way to undo. If I don't click "delete" or close the message it seems to go back to the previous screen. For this reason I didn't click "delete" on any of the "duplicate" files and after a few minutes of running, UNDUPE stopped working.
It seems to me the only way to actually delete the duplicate files listed by UNDUPE is to CTRL-C out of the program and close the process window (or - don't close the process window and open up a new one). This does not delete the duplicate files.
I would say at this time, UNDUPE is a good program that needs some work. I have sent it an e-mail to their support address requesting help with the "delete" option.
Otherwise, I think the latest version of the program seems to be much faster and easier to use. I haven't had any problems running it and have yet to receive any messages from it.
I hope to see some improvements in the future from the developer.
