YEAR 1
This week Y1 have been off to Italy in Art and in Topics. In the former, they produced fabulous collages while in the latter, they investigated 'Pizza' making on a factory and individual basis. Y1 produced a collage of their favourite pizzas, some examples of which you can see in the photos. In English Y1 have been looking at different endings of the story 'The Three Little Pigs', and in Maths, Y1 have been learning to double numbers, and to recognise 2D shapes. In Russian, Y1 are learning how to write the Russian alphabet.. In Science, Y1 have been looking at the different parts of plants as part of their investigation into living things. As part of this they have made a collage (see photos). Next week, Y1 will have the opportunity to cut open a flower and look inside. In PSHE, Y1 finished their 'Friendship Flower' which they have hung up. Finally, Y1 students were awarded house points for their participation in their daily 'Maths Challenge'.
